Sacred Kamakhya Temple (also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya) is one of the most popular Hindu Temples in India, situated in Guwahati (Assam) and dedicated to the mother Goddess Kamakhya (a form of Goddess Shakti). Besides being a very significant pilgrimage destination for Hindus, particularly for Tantric worshipers, this Kamakhya Temple also attracts numerous foreign tourists every year. Regarded as being one among the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas, Kamakhya Temple is symbol of feminine strength, fertility, and vashikaran tantra. Its Kamiya Sindoor, regarded as being a blessing of mother Kamakhya, is rather famous for being effective in resolving/eliminating various problems related with witchcrafts and black magic.
Located on the Nilachal Hill in western Guwahati at a distance of about 6 Km from the Guwahati Railway Station and about 20 Km from the Guwahati Airport, sacred Kamakhya Temple is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas. The main temple is adorned with the statue of the Bleeding Goddess situated in Garbhagraha. Though devotees go this temple year long, the best time to visit it is June (Ashadha), when one can enjoy its magnificent Ambhuwasi festival (also called as Ambubachi Mela) and get the elixir-like Kamiya Sindoor. Apart from getting blessings of Goddess Kamakhya, people also go to this eminent temple for some special tasks like Pooja for Removal of Black Magic, accomplishment in Tantrikism, Vashikaran Pooja for diverse purposes, and so on. These poojas are particularly fruitful during the Ambhuwasi festival. Interested people may visit the official website of Kamakhya Temple, to know all about the time-table of its Poojas and Sadhanas, which are performed by Pandas, Sadhus, and Aghoris, who stay inside the temple premises.
The Goddess Kamakhya is also called as the bleeding Devi or menstruating Goddess, owing to the fact that in the Hindi month of Ashadha (June), the Goddess starts menstruating automatically, and by this the water of the underground spring in Garbhagraha turns red. The menstruation process lasts for three days, during which devotees/pilgrims are not allowed to enter the temple. They can only dip their handkerchiefs in the red water coming out from the Garbhagriha, and keep the same secured as Devi's offerings for good luck. On the fourth day, a grand festival called as Ambhuwasi festival or mela is celebrated.
The Kamakhya Temple Sindoor (Vermillion), which is also referred to as Kamiya Sindoor helps in black magic removal, vashikaran tantra for certain good purposes, and is used in preparing a variety of spiritual items. Regarded as a blessing of sacred mother Kamakhya, this kamiya sindoor possesses certain special and divine properties to combat various witchcrafts, black magics, and other evil things. This sindoor can be received from the priests of the temple. The Kamakhya Mantra and Tantra, Sindoor, or Special Vashikaran Pooja performed at this temple, can help devotees or pilgrims in resolving or achieving the following:
